Shea Terra Organics' source of this precious, raw, natural treasure comes from a very heart moving project in the jungles of Uganda. A British project, first seen as a way to turn a profit, was taken over by an extraordinary man named Simon, with an even more extraordinary heart. Uganda has been a country of war between the government and a seperatist group for many years. Young boys are often stolen and forced to become soldiers, even made to kill. Simon took escaped victims and taught them how to farm honey for a living. We impart this highly therapeutic wax in our lip butter in support of Simon's efforts.

Added propolis, also from Simon's project, is one of the healing wonders of the natural world. Bees collect the resin of a variety of trees, the natural protecting sealant to save open wounds from getting infected, and add this to their own wax to form thick propolis which the members of the hive will use for an assortment of naturopathic needs. Propolis is anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal as well as anti-septic adding to the protection of this powerful organic lip butter.
