Our shea packed cream starts with only the best shea butter on the planet. No, really! Shea Nilotik' shea butter comes from an uncommon species of shea tree. The nuts produce a butter which is softer, creamier, and lightly fragrant. Found growing only in Northern Uganda and Southern Sudan, this butter is harder to come by than common West African shea butter, and its quality is far superior. West African shea butter is boiled and then cooked on high heat for hours to evaporate the water. It is then often sent to Europe to be refined and deodorized (this is what is most commonly found in shea butter products). In Uganda, the women collect the nuts and sell it to the family owned mill which then cold presses the soft butter out of the nuts. This superior, virgin shea butter is rich in vitamin A. It is the choice for anti-aging and moisturizing products. We whip 30% of this rare Ugandan shea butter into a thick, skin protecting cream to keep skin smooth and supple all day long. 

Only pure spring water is good enough: Our promise to purity and the safety of our products, we use only pure spring water for maximum moisturization. We've been using only pure spring water since Tammie started formulating the first Shea Terra products back in 1999. Tap water contains a chlorine, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals just to name a few of the many chemicals that make "natural" products not natural. It makes no sense to use natural ingredients, and then use municipal water so we simply don't do it. We have been trucking in Virginia mountain spring water for almost 20 years to make sure that our products are always the safest and purist they can be.

Absolutely wonderful

I bought this Shea Butter for a friend who has lymphedema and whose skin is rough and tight. She is over the moon with this shea butter and how well it works. Her skin is much smoother and it feels silky and creamy. She is in love with the cream and uses it twice a day!!

I Love It!

I have used the pure shea nilotik butter, and it's still my favorite Shea Terra product. When I saw this cream, I decided to try it to see if it would work just as well. I use this as a body cream, and I love it! I have very sensitive skin, so I wanted to try the fragrance free cream first. My skin is softer. Even my scaly elbows are soft. I will be trying the Mongongo Banana cream when I run out of this one.

My forever products!

I have hyper-sensitive skin and am also natural product oriented. I use the unscented versions of the Shea Whipped Body Butter and the Shea Butter
as my everyday skin moisturizers (including on my face!). I love their limited number of ingredients and the purity. My skin loves them too!

My favorite body butter now. Nothing else can compare to this! Thick and creamy, incredibly hydrating for my very dry skin. I put this on right before bed and my skin still looks and feels so good in the morning. For daytime I use the lotion formula!
