FAQ: Black Seed Oil – Benefits, Risks, and Hair Care
What does organic black seed oil do for you?
Organic black seed oil is a versatile powerhouse for health and beauty. It helps skin feel hydrated and look balanced, and is a lightweight, antioxidant-rich oil. For hair, it helps condition the scalp and adds shine and softness. Try Sheaterra Organics Cold-Pressed Black Seed Oil for a pure, therapeutic-grade option that’s perfect for both topical and dietary use.
What are the bad side effects of black seed oil?
While generally safe, black seed oil may cause mild digestive discomfort (e.g., nausea) when ingested or skin irritation when applied topically. Rarely, it can interact with blood thinners, diabetes medications, or blood pressure drugs. For external cosmetic use. Patch test before first use.
Can I rub black seed oil on my face?
Yes! Its lightweight, antioxidant-rich nature makes it ideal for acne-prone or sensitive skin. Dilute Sheaterra Organics Black Seed Oil with a carrier oil like jojoba or rosehip, or blend it into your moisturizer. Pair it with our Calming Chamomile Cream to soothe redness and balance skin texture.
Who shouldn’t take black seed oil?
Avoid black seed oil if you are pregnant (it may affect uterine contractions), have bleeding disorders, or take blood thinners. Those with liver/kidney conditions or scheduled surgeries should also exercise caution.
Is it OK to take black seed oil every day?
Short-term daily use (up to 3 months) is safe for most people. Try adding Sheaterra Organics Black Seed Oil Softgels to your routine for precise dosing and convenience.
Does black seed oil grow hair?
Studies suggest it can reduce hair shedding by up to 76% and improve density by nourishing follicles. Combine Sheaterra Organics Revitalizing Hair Elixir (infused with black seed oil, rosemary, and pumpkin seed oil) with scalp massages to stimulate growth and combat thinning.
Can I leave black seed oil in my hair overnight?
Yes! Leaving it overnight enhances absorption. Apply Sheaterra Organics Nourishing Scalp Serum before bed, then rinse in the morning to avoid buildup. Its lightweight formula won’t weigh hair down.
Which oil is best for hair?
Pair it with rosemary and coconut oils for a nourishing hair-care routine.
While it can’t reverse existing grey hair, its antioxidants may slow premature greying by protecting pigment cells. Use Sheaterra Organics Anti-Oxidant Scalp Treatment to maintain melanin activity and scalp vitality.
How many times a week should I use black seed oil in my hair?
2–3 times weekly is ideal. Overuse can lead to a buildup. For a balanced routine, alternate with our Clarifying Hair Mask to keep your scalp clean and pores unclogged.
What is the number 1 thing for hair growth?
Consistency with proven treatments like minoxidil, paired with nutrient-rich care. Sheaterra Organics Hair Wellness Kit combines black seed oil, biotin supplements, and a follicle-stimulating serum for holistic results.

I really enjoy taking Egyptian Black Seed Oil first thing in the morning. It helps me feel mentally clear, focused, and calm, and I notice less tension throughout the day. Overall, it gives me a more lucid and balanced mindset from morning to night.
Great, pure product. This is the one!
THE BEST EVER!!!
Wow what a great product. I’ve been using Shea Terra Black Seed Oil for a while now, and I’m genuinely impressed with the quality. The oil feels pure and potent, with a rich, natural aroma that lets you know it hasn’t been overly processed. It absorbs well into the skin without feeling greasy and leaves my skin feeling nourished and balanced. I also love that Shea Terra focuses on ethically sourced, high-quality ingredients (from Ethiopia and Egypt)—it really shows in the product. A little goes a long way, and it’s become a staple in my self-care routine on my hair and skin. Already placed a second order. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality black seed oil they can trust.

A very good product. The Black seed oil is goof ailments and a host of other things. The information given on Shea Terra site about each product is very helpful in choosing the right product for each individual. It’s so good to have a company like this making healthy products.
I just start using this oil , but I see positive different My skin looks better and I feel better. Thank you
I just started using it and can’t give an opinion yet
I've tried many but I really am enjoying this one the taste isn't that bad
This Black Seed oil is super mellow and actually edible. I've tried quite a few; the popular one sold by "A H" is soooo medicinal, it almost repulses my body to take it. Black Seed oils claiming super high thymoquinone content does not mean they are "better" IMO. Conversely, this one seems more like a legit cold pressed culinary oil that when you eat it feels "safe" ... if that makes sense? Also, topically, this has cleared up some perioral dermatitis around my eye (careful not to get IN my eye of course). Great quality oil from a trustworthy source. Thank you!
