Black castor oil is said to have originated in ancient Egypt. Considering all of the herbal beauty concoctions and medicinal topical preparations, this is not very hard to believe. Unlike black castor oil from Jamaica and other such regions, our cold pressed black castor oil is never boiled. It is produced by roasting castor beans to produce sulfur. The beans are then screw pressed to extract the nutrient oil. The sulfur produced in the oil enhances castor oil's growth stimulating power. Egyptian black castor oil is the key ingredient for this Boost & Grow clarifying shampoo. Cold pressed Egyptian carrot seed oil is added to this formula to nourish roots and protect hair. Amla, Indian gooseberry, provides hair strength and reduces falling. Rosemary essential oil is added to this formula to clarify hair and further stimulate growth.

Like all Shea Terra products, we use only 100% pure, mountain spring water in our formula. We never use recycled sewage water found in just about all natural brands. This ensures that toxic chemicals and chlorine is not added to our products. We produce our shampoo with fresh, extra virgin cold pressed oils which feed and protect hair. Our formulas contain whole or grounded herb, never tinctures or extracts. Apply enough shampoo to hair to get a rich lather. Rinse well. If hair has a lot of styling products or oil in it washing twice might be necessary.
